To start off my first edition of “Zest Friends”, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Jude Butcher, I founded zestcoaching mid 2016 after completing my lifecoaching course with Beautiful You Academy. I work with and support women to “Unbreak their Heart” after lousy experiences that life can deliver & rediscover their incredible worth, big dreams and fabulousness. You can find me at www.zestcoaching.com.au and also on Facebook and Instagram.
What does Zest mean to you and how does this show up in your life?
Zest to me is to enthuse, excite & energise. I try to bring this to each and every day through the small things – finding something delicious and healthy to eat, looking for something fun each day, finding the best in situations/people and making sure I am always honest and always kind.
What are your daily non-negotiable’s: your must-haves or must-do’s?
Earl grey Tea, Essential oils, quiet alone time and water. 2 litres a day !!!!
Who inspires you and why?
Anyone who has overcome challenges and comes through shining and chooses to be of continual service to others, no matter what. Anyone who works in Emergency Services are heroes, each and every day. Their commitment to their job and the sacrifices they make (missing out on meals, family times, Christmas) is admirable and I am so grateful for them all. Australian women in the spotlight I I find amazing are Turia Pitt, Carrie Bickmore and Lisa Messenger. And from the coaching world massive influences on me are Amy Mackenzie, Julie Parker, Jade McKenzie and Melissa Ambrosini for their spirit, serenity & message. (Find them on Social Media – I know you’ll love them too!!!)
How have you overcome heartbreak & disappointment, and how did you unbreak your Heart ?
Loss and disappointment are no stranger to me. They have inevitably visited me more than once. And it’s awful, gut-wrenching and devastating. For me, I’ve just let grief and heartbreak wash over me, not fighting it at all. I’ve accepted help, looked for support, cried when I needed to and coped as well as I could. And it’s true what they say – This too shall pass.
Here’s the key – one day when you wake up and feel that shift, you know it’s time to make a new plan to move forward. Time to take that sadness and make it work for you – to Unbreak Your Heart and become a better version of yourself. This could be improving your health, esteem, finances, career, mindset, hobbies, relationships – ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU WANT!
This is zest … and its fabulous.
Tell me about balance in your life and how have you achieved this.
It’s taken a long time but for me the main key for balance is saying “No, thankyou” to that which does not enthuse, excite or energise me. If it’s not thrilling me, it’s just not for me. And by saying “No” you leave room to say a big “Yes!” to something else amazing… imagine that !!!
What’s upcoming on your agenda?
Lots of exciting interviews like this one for zestcoaching, booking visits to the naturopath to take better care of my health planning fantastic ( and hopefully monthly) gatherings of clients for amazing heart centred topics around self worth & becoming the best version of yourself
